Topological wave functions and the 4D-5D lift

چکیده
We revisit the holomorphic anomaly equations satisfied by the topological string amplitude from the perspective of the 4D-5D lift, in the context of “magic” N = 2 supergravity theories. In particular, we interpret the Gopakumar-Vafa relation between 5D black hole degeneracies and the topological string amplitude as the result of a canonical transformation from 4D to 5D charges. Moreover we use the known Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of 5D black holes to constrain the asymptotic behavior of the topological wave function at finite topological coupling but large Kähler classes. In the process, some subtleties in the relation between 5D black hole degeneracies and the topological string amplitude are uncovered, but not resolved. Finally we extend these considerations to the putative one-parameter generalization of the topological string amplitude, and identify the canonical transformation as a Weyl reflection inside the 3D duality group. 4D PET: Beyond conventional dynamic PET imaging
In this paper, we review novel techniques in the emerging field of spatiotemporal 4D PET imaging. We will discuss existing limitations in conventional dynamic PET imaging which involves independent reconstruction of dynamic PET datasets. Various approaches that seek to attempt some or all of these limitations are reviewed in this work, including techniques that util...
متن کاملنقش دیمورفیسم جنسیتی بر طول نسبی انگشتان دست و تعیین جنسیت جمعیت ایرانی: گزارش کوتاه
Background: Sex determination from human remains is a challenge for forensic experts. Many studies have shown that the finger length ratios might be characteristic for sexual dimorphism. The aim of this study was to determine sexual dimorphism in finger length ratios among Iranian population. Methods: The study group comprised of a random sample of 100 healthy people without congenital or acqu...

We consider a 5D BPS dilatonic two brane model which reduces to the Randall-Sundrum model or the Hořava-Witten theory for a particular choice of parameters. Recently new dynamical solutions were found by Chen et al., which describe a moduli instability of the warped geometry. Using a 4D effective theory derived by solving the 5D equations of motion, based on the gradient expansion method, we sh...
متن کاملTopological soliton solutions of the some nonlinear partial differential equations
In this paper, we obtained the 1-soliton solutions of the symmetric regularized long wave (SRLW) equation and the (3+1)-dimensional shallow water wave equations. Solitary wave ansatz method is used to carry out the integration of the equations and obtain topological soliton solutions The physical parameters in the soliton solutions are obtained as functions of the dependent coefficients. Note t...
متن کاملFlrw Universes from “wave-like” Cosmologies in 5d
We consider the evolution of a 4D-universe embedded in a five-dimensional (bulk) world with a large extra dimension and a cosmological constant. The cosmology in 5D possesses “wave-like” character in the sense that the metric coefficients in the bulk are functions of the extra coordinate and time in a way similar to a pulse or traveling wave propagating along the fifth dimension. This assumptio...
